Two categories of stipends are available: university graduate students, and early career individuals in academia or practice. The NEES Consortium strongly encourages applications from women, minorities underrepresented in earthquake engineering, and persons with disabilities.

As of that deadline, an applicant for a stipend must be a member of the NEES Consortium or have submitted a complete application for membership.
