Goals and Objectives of the GADR

The primary goal of the Global Alliance for Disaster Reduction is to facilitate building technical and political capacity in all seven regions of the world for : 1) professional education, 2) technical assistance, and 3) sustainable development. The objectives, which were reviewed and reaffirmed on April 10-12, 2002 in the Executive Briefing and on December 12, 2002 in the Program Review are summarized here.
