The University at Buffalo invites nominations and expressions of interest for the position of Director of the Multidisciplinary Center for Earthquake Engineering Research (MCEER) and Professor of Civil, Structural & Environmental Engineering. Reporting to the Dean of Engineering and Applied Sciences the Director leads nationwide programs of research, education and outreach that includes collaboration among universities, industry and government. This position offers the successful candidate exceptional opportunities to lead an outstanding team of scientists in the development and application of advanced technologies, to leverage the potential of a unique, new state-of-the-art R&D facility now under construction and to formulate, with a coalition of university, industrial and government partners, strategies for guiding the Center in future phases of its development.
